Discipline Hearing Outcome
CPO and Mohit Singh
Case Number 2015-0087
On June 11, 2016 the Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee referred a matter involving Mohit Singh to the Discipline Committee for a hearing.
Overview of the Allegations
Mr Singh was granted a Provisional Practice certificate of registration in February 2015. In May 2015 Mr Singh was advised that he could only continue to practice in a setting where there was another physiotherapist onsite 100% of the time to provide supervision.
This requirement was captured in a Monitoring Agreement and resulted in a term, condition, limitation being placed on Mr Singh’s certificate of registration. The Agreement was never signed and Mr Singh continued to practice without the required supervision between May 19, 2015 and August 18, 2015 when he was not entitled to do so.
The hearing took place on November 15, 2016. At the conclusion of the hearing the panel found that Mr. Singh committed an act of professional misconduct and it ordered a penalty which included a suspension, reprimand and terms, conditions and limitations related to pratice enhancement activities, an ethics course, and a coaching program. In addition Mr Singh is required to pay costs to the College in the amount of $1000.
